Indiana fans everywhere are talking about Archie Miller‘s “inside-out” approach to recruiting. Hoosier Nation is excited about the possibility of IU locking down the state’s top recruits in the years to come, something the program has struggled to do in recent years.
Ed Schilling will undoubtedly be a huge part of Indiana’s quest to keep its in-state talent at home. Schilling, who joins Miller’s staff after 4 seasons as an assistant for Steve Alford at UCLA, has deep ties to the state of Indiana. Schilling got his start in coaching at Western Boone High School and continued it at Logansport High School. He most recently served as the head coach at Park Tudor High School, where he coached former Indiana star Yogi Ferrell.
Schilling joined The Justin Albers Podcast over the weekend to talk about returning to his home state, how the opportunity came about, how he views in-state recruiting, and much more. You can listen to the exclusive podcast in the embedded audio player below.
